Ascension Day Pilgrimage to Faido

Please join us on our annual Ascension day pilgrimage on 14th May 2026.

The Franciscan church and monastery was established in Faido, north of Bellinzona, in the 16th century.

  • 1.1 km walk to Church.
  • Mass celebrated by our Chaplain.
  • Tour of Museum.
  • Lunch sponsored by CECLU.
  • Rosary walk to chapel of Madonna delle Rive on a hill OR walk back to station with visit to St Andreas church.

Train: 8.18 am from Luzern Bahnhof (changing at Arth-Goldau). Please buy your own return ticket, group seats shall be reserved.

Pilgrimage to Convento Sancturio Santa Maria in Bigorio, Tessin (1st March 2025)

On March 1st, Saturday we shall be visiting the 1st Capuchin friary in Switzerland, founded in the 15th century. We shall start with a Lentan Kreuzweg, followed by lunch at the convent and Holy Mass.

  • Departure from Luzern by train at 8:18.
    Arrival in Lugano and transfer to Bus, arriving at 10:25
  • Kreuzweg, Stations of the Cross
  • Lunch at the convent
  • English Mass
  • Departure from Lugano by train at 18:02, arr Luzern at 19:41

Group tickets: Fr 49 (Halbtax), Fr 98 (full price).
Spartageskarte: Fr 39 (with Halbtax) and 52 (full price) from your Gemeinde website or counter, if booked 12 days before travel date.

CECLU Summer BBQ 2024 – Fri 23rd August

Please join us for our 2024 Summer BBQ on Friday 23rdth August, 5pm – 9pm, at the Capuchin Monastery Wesemlin. All members, family, and friends are welcome!

Note: For those who would like to volunteer to bring salad, sides, desert, or anything else, please indicate this on the registration form.

Directions by bus: take the number 7 towards Unterlöchli, and get off at the stop “Kloster”. Walk around the monastery and enter via the main gate to the gardens.

Car: follow directions to Wesemlinstrasse 42. There is plenty of blue-zone parking in the surrounding area, see map (Zone H).
