All Souls’ (5th November)

We are commemorating All Souls’ on Saturday 5th November. Mass will exceptionally be celebrated at the Capuchin Monastery, at the usual time of 5:30pm. Please share the names of those whom you would wish to have remembered either with Brother George, or via our form.

Mass will be followed by a get together at the Monastery – don’t forget to RSVP:

Trip to Seelisberg – Sunday 4th September

On Sunday 4th September, we are going on an excursion to Seelisberg, visiting the Maria Sonnenberg chapel, Castle, and the klein Seeli lake.

  • 9:12: Boat from Luzern to Treib, followed by Funicular to Seelisberg station (Seelisberg Bahnhof).
    • Alternative: take the 10:27 train from Luzern to Stans, followed by bus to Seelisberg Dorf (arriving 11:35 – wait here for the group to arrive).
    • Car parking is available in Seelisberg, either at Seelisberg station (limited), or at Steckenmattstrasse.
  • 11:30 start of walk from Seelisberg station (approx 2 hours, excluding breaks).
  • 14:57 or 15:57: return to Luzern by boat.

Please bring drinks and something for your lunch. All are free to join and bring friends.

Summer BBQ

Our 2022 Summer BBQ will be on Friday 19th August:

  • Tour of the Monastery from 4:30pm
  • BBQ from 5:30pm

Directions by bus: take the number 7 towards Unterlöchli, and get off at the stop “Kloster”. Walk around the monastery and enter via the main gate to the gardens.

Car: follow directions to Wesemlinstrasse 42. There is plenty of blue-zone parking in the surrounding area, see map (Zone H). From 5pm it is also possible to park in the gardens.

Save the date – Pilgrimage and Summer BBQ

We are happy to confirm that:

  • Our Pilgrimage will take place on Ascension Day (Thursday 26th May – this is a public holiday in Switzerland). We are going to Luthern Bad, where we will celebrate Mass – there will be an optional walking component too.
  • Our Summer BBQ will be on 19th August, at the Capuchin Monastery in Luzern.

Choosing a patron saint for the community

Our community has now been together for more than 2 years, and we are finally looking to pick a patron saint . We invite anyone and everyone to submit their suggestions below.

Please submit your suggestions by 15th December – we would kindly appreciate one or two names, along with an explanation of why you think this Saint is a good choice for our community:
